Six paintings, six perspectives on humanity. 

Poppamaija’s installation WE ARE ALL LOOKING FOR THE SAME LIGHT brings Cathedral Park to life. The installation comprises six artworks, each approximately 2.5 metres tall, that glow in the dark and present six different perspectives on humanity. Painted on plywood using UV-reactive paints, the artworks captivate visitors with their vibrant colours and create a magical atmosphere in the park.  

Making its debut at Path of Light, the colourful installation explores the connection that binds all human beings together. We all share the need to be loved and accepted. The human figures depicted in the artworks remind us that we can build connections with others if we recognise something of ourselves in one another.  

Poppamaija is a Finnish street artist and mural painter who lives and works in Amsterdam. Her art brings imaginative human figures into urban spaces and public environments. Her large-scale murals have been displayed across Europe and Asia. Her light art has also been featured at events including Lux Helsinki before coming to Path of Light.
