Seili Bridge
Turku City Theatre

• Location: Theatre Bridge, River Aura
• Time: 3–6 December 2026, 4–10 pm

The River Aura leads to the legendary island of Seili.

Turku City Theatre’s light installation is entitled Seili Bridge. Inspired by the musical Seili, the installation bathes Theatre Bridge in mysterious light, creating an atmosphere that transports visitors across the waters and through time.

The musical, which tells the story of Seili Island and its women, shows that light and hope can be found even in the darkest of places. Seili Bridge, installed on Theatre Bridge, creates a connection between different worlds: the city and the Turku Archipelago, and the present and the past.

The winter decorations on Theatre Bridge have drawn inspiration from Turku City Theatre’s productions since 2018. This year, the bridge’s set design is by Teemu Loikas, with lighting by Jarmo Esko.
